When you make a booking, you are entering into an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.

Registration and booking confirmation

Every registration has to be combined with a deposit of an amount of 30% of the total price. From the deposit payment, the registration is firm and definitive and lead to the acceptance of the following general terms and conditions.

Balance payment

The balance of the stay has to be settled minimum 30 days before arrival if it is paid by cheque or bank transfer.

In case of a reduction of the stay duration (for any reason) the total price of the initial stay must be paid.

Prices

Prices are including and are composed of :

  • Access to the accommodations, charges included
  • Bed sheets (beds are prepared for the arrival)
  • TV with 160 channels for the holiday home rental
  • Water, electricity, heating, and wood for the fireplace
  • Sets of towels will be provided for each guest
  • Internet connection and Wi-Fi

Tenant’s cancellation

Every cancellation has to be notified by E-mail or registered letter to “le Bonheur du Périgord”.
The following charges will be retained, when cancellation is less than 30 days before check-in:

  • Between the 30th and 15th day before check-in : 25% of the total price
  • 14 days or less before check-in : 75% of the total price
  • In case of no-show at the location of your stay, we will retain 100% of the total price.

Welcome and check-in

Welcome and check-in will occur at the premises. The tenant  of the holiday house agrees to settle the refundable breakage deposit of 200 euros during check-in, in case this has not been transferred yet.
Accommodations are available from 16:00 on the day of arrival and the departure time is set at 10:00.

Inventory, Cleanliness and damage

All complaints regarding the inventory of the accommodation, equipment or cleanliness have to be made within 24 hours following the arrival.  After 24 hours the tenant will be tacitly agreeing with the delivered inventory, equipment and cleanliness of the accommodation.
The tenant has to declare every deterioration or damage that can occur during his stay.
None of the objects placed inside the accommodation can be moved outdoors.  Every object that has been damaged or broken will be charged for, or the cost necessary to clean and fix them. In case of damaging the premises (walls, ceilings, paints, sanitary equipment, or other), the tenant will have to repay repairs to the “Le Bonheur du Périgord” according to the quotation.

Security Deposit

A security/damage deposit of 200€ is charged for the holiday home (gîte).  The tenant must leave the gîte clean, and follow the rules : – furniture back in place – oven, fridge and dishwasher clean and empty – dishes clean and tidy – bins empty and thrown away.

We will refund you the security/damage deposit at the end of the stay or at the latest within the 7 days following your stay.

House Rules

House rules are at your disposal in each accommodation. Please read them carefully and respect them. The accommodations are non-smoking and use of illegal drugs wont be allowed.

Security

Tenants will have to close all doors and windows, as well as switching off lights when their accommodation is not occupied.

Cars can be parked on the driveway.  .We recommend you not to leave any personal belongings or valuable objects in the vehicles.

During your stay

The tenant will have to respect the quiet spirit of the accommodation and use it in accordance with the destination of the place in it’s natural environment.
The tenant must make a good use of the rented place and furniture.  No sub-letting or extra guests will be allowed without prior approval.

The owner cannot be responsible for the following:

  • Power cuts,
  • Restriction in the use of water by local authorities,
  • Any loss or damage caused to the tenant or its properties due to meteorological conditions,
  • Any loss or damage to the client in the case of the property being destroyed or damaged prior to the arrival of the tenant. In this case, the owner commits to reimburse the whole of the rental amount 7 days after notification to the tenant of any such event,
  • Any loss or damage or physical accident caused to the tenant, his/her cohabitants, his/her properties or its vehicles whilst on the property,
  • In any case, the financial liability of the owner will not be above the rental fee.

Personal Details

Some of the data gathered during the course of a booking will be held on computer in order that we can contact guests about their booking, for security of “Le Bonheur du Périgord” property and to arrange to welcome you on arrival. All details given are strictly private and confidential, and must not be disclosed outside of this agreement by either party. We would like to retain this data after your visit to be able to inform you of future offers and assist us in our market research, improvement of facilities etc. If you would prefer us not to hold this information please let us know, and it will be deleted appropriately.
